Flowing nearly 2,500 miles (4,000 kilometres), the majestic Mississippi River is celebrated as one of the world’s major waterways and has inspired great writers, artists, musicians, and explorers. And, now, with three Four Seasons properties making their home along its banks, the legendary river is the inspiration for a new set of collaborative dining experiences with the launch of The Mississippi Dinner Series at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.

Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis will welcome the culinary teams from two sister properties, Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans and Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, for two unforgettable dinner events designed to showcase the artistry and talents of the visiting chefs. This Mississippi Dinner Series celebrates the culinary craftsmanship of Four Seasons, a brand globally recognized for its exceptional dining options.

The Mississippi Dinner Series will feature:

  • Friday, June 16, 2023 – Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans – Set on the Mississippi Riverfront at the foot of Canal Street, Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans opened in 2021 in a landmark building recognised on the National Register of Historic Places located just steps from the historic French Quarter.
  • Friday, September 22, 2023 – Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis – Opened in 2022, Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is a beacon in the heart of downtown and moments from the mighty Mississippi, as well as first-in-class stadiums, museums and theatres, craft breweries and all that the city has to offer.

The menus for each event will highlight the signature dishes and style of each visiting chef, while incorporating the unique live fire cooking and grilling techniques for which Cinder House at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is known.

Each evening will begin al fresco on the restaurant’s terrace that offers panoramic views of the Mississippi River and the iconic Gateway Arch.  Guests will first enjoy passed canapés accompanied by a bespoke cocktail, and have the chance to interact with the chefs.  When it is time for dinner, guests will be seated inside the Cinder House dining room to savour a multi-course menu served family style.  There will also be an option to pair wine with each course.

Each dinner experience is USD 125 per person (plus tax and gratuities) and includes a signature cocktail, hors d’oeuvres and the dinner. An optional wine pairing is available on request. Seating is limited, reservations are required and can be made on OpenTable.

In addition to Chefs Schmidt and Harrower, the dinner will be executed by the culinary team of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, led by Sous Chef Marisol Santiago, Executive Pastry Chef Tiffany Gilmore, and Advanced Sommelier Anthony Geary.
